At the library, Blamire and Clegg turn Compo upside down to rid him of evil spirits and are thrown out by Mr. Wainright. Compo realizes he has lost his key and, upon discovering the library is closed, the trio try to find Mr Wainwright. They find he has gone to a formal dinner dance, so Sid sneaks them into the back room where a game of cards ensues and Compo realises he can climb into his house through the back window.
